<p>Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is used as a treatment for epilepsy, panic disorder and anxiety. It is also used to control the symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines. Clonazepam binds to the il-2 receptor and blocks the binding of clonazepam to this receptor. Clonazepam has minimal toxicity in humans, which may be due to its low lipophilicity and rapid metabolism. The drug is metabolized through glucuronidation by the enzyme UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A4 (UGT1A4), followed by excretion in urine.</p>
