CAS:
Ceftiofur hydrochloride is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the group of cephalosporins. It has inhibitory activity against gram-positive bacteria and is used for the treatment of infectious diseases, such as bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and swine dysentery. Ceftiofur hydrochloride is a prodrug that can be hydrolyzed by esterases to ceftiofur sodium in vivo, which has a longer half-life and a broader spectrum of activity than ceftiofur hydrochloride. Ceftiofur hydrochloride inhibits the growth of microorganisms by binding to one or more penicillin-binding proteins, which leads to cell lysis. Ceftiofur hydrochloride also has drug interactions with tetracycline and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid due to its inhibition of beta-lactamase enzymes.
Formula:C19H18ClN5O7S3Purity:Min. 96 Area-%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:560.03 g/molCeftiofur HCl
