QuickRxn SmaI is capable of digesting DNA in 15 minutes or less with the flexibility to digest overnight without degradation to DNA. It is accompained with the specific QuickRxn Buffer to enable 100 % enzyme activity SmaI binds at the recognition sequence CCCGGG and cleaves these sequences. It creates blunt ends. Not sensitive to dam, dcm but Inhibition by CpG methylation. It is derived from the E.coli strain encoding SmaI gene from Serratia marcescens
