Description:
NcoI is an endonuclease enzyme isolated from strains of Nocardia corallina and is part of the restriction modification system.
In molecular biology it is used as a restriction enzyme. It creates sticky ends with a 3' overhang. The nucleic acid sequence where the enzyme cuts is CCATGG which, as the complementary sequence is GGTACC, has rotational symmetry.
