Unlike its counterpart, (R)-Ketoprofen does not significantly enhance the increase of inflammatory cytokines (such as Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) and Interleukin-1 (IL-1)) induced by LPS. However, it can inhibit the anti-inflammatory activity of (S)-Ketoprofen.
