It degrades SaFtsZ and inhibits bacterial cell division, exhibiting antistaphylococcal activity by inhibiting S. aureus 8325-4 and MRSA strains, with a MIC range of 0.063-256 μg/mL. In mouse models, ZG297 demonstrates anti-infective properties.
