Description:Flupropanate is a selectively soil-active herbicide and plant growth inhibitor that functions by inhibiting the growth of the radicle in sensitive plants and lipid biosynthesis. It is highly effective against Nassella neesiana and N. trichotoma weeds in pastures and reduces the density of invasive Pennisetum clandestinum. Flupropanate is sensitive to grasses like ryegrass but shows good selective tolerance to species such as Plantago, Cichorium, and certain legumes. Studies in the southwest Australian Mediterranean climate indicate that Flupropanate does not significantly affect native plant communities, functional groups, or the endangered species Grevillea curviloba, demonstrating high ecological safety.
