Description:3′-Deoxy Thymidine is a nucleoside analog of thymidine with antiviral activity. 3′-Deoxy Thymidine inhibit HIV replication in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (EC50 = 0.17 µM). 3′-Deoxy Thymidine also decreases plaque formation in CV-1 cells infected with HSV-1 at micromolar concentrations. These properties support the use of 3′-Deoxy Thymidine in antiviral mechanism studies and nucleoside analog evaluation.
