Additionally, it reduces embryonic viability and nymph survival in O. insidiosus. Spirotetramat exhibits aquatic toxicity by altering protein levels in organisms, specifically by increasing glutathione peroxidase (GPX) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels, decreasing malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, and causing lethality in Chinese toad (B. gargarizans) tadpoles (LC50= 6.98 mg/L). Its formulations are utilized in agricultural insect control.
