Description:Q14 is a polypeptide derived from the transmembrane (TM) domain of USP30 (ubiquitin specific peptidase30) and is capable of inhibiting the deubiquitination activity of USP30 (IC50=57.2 nM). By hindering the interaction between USP30’s transmembrane and catalytic domains, it lowers USP30 activity. The Q14 polypeptide contains an LC3 interaction region (LIR) motif, enabling it to bind with LC3, thereby accelerating autophagosome formation and promoting mitophagy. Q14 is applicable in the study of neurodegenerative diseases, mitochondrial quality control, and cellular metabolism.
