Applications (2S)-2-(Acetylamino)-3-hydroxy-N-(phenylmethyl)propanamide is an intermediate in the synthesis of Epi-Lacosamide (E588795), which is an impurity of Lacosamide (L098500), a medication used for the adjunctive treatment of partial-onset seizures and diabetic neuropathic pain. Lacosamide is a potent anticonvulsant.
