Applications 17-Acetyloxy-pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione (Cyproterone Acetate EP Impurity H), is one of the derivatives of Progesterone (P755900), which is a steroid hormone produced by the corpus luteum. It induces maturation and secretory activity of the uterine endothelium; suppresses ovulation. Progesterone is also implicated in the etiology of breast cancer. The structure-activity studies also shown that This progesterone derivatives are able to bind to the digitalis receptor.
