Applications Labelled Bromoacetic Acid. Bromoacetic Acid is a relatively strong alkylating agent as well as a versatile building block used very commonly in organic synthesis. Bromoacetic acid has been shown to reversibly inhibit human erythrocyte carbonic anhydrase B.
