Applications cis-1-Butene-1,4-diol is used in the synthesis of bezoxazinyl-oxazolidinones as promising antbacterial agents. Also used in the preparation of AMF-26, an antitumor agent for inhibition of the golgi system, targeting a specific ribosylation factor.
