Applications 2,3'-Dibromopropiophenone is an intermediate in the synthesis of 3-Deschloro-3-bromo Bupropion Hydcrochloride (D281955), a derivative of Bupropion Hydrochloride (B689625), a selective inhibitor of dopamine uptake. An antidepressant of the aminoketone class; aid in smoking cessation.
