Applications 1,2:5,6-Di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose 3-p-Toluenesulfonate is used in the synthesis of a highly constrained adenosine derivative of 5’-Deoxy-5’-methylthioadenosine (MTA) which is 4’,4’-spirothietane-2’,N3-cycloadenosine.
