Applications 2-Methoxy-4-methylphenol is used in treating inflammatory disorder, by inhibiting IL-6 expression and other expressions and activating nirp3 inflammasome in cells. Also used as one of the substances for the mechanism-based QSAR modelling of skin sensitization.
