Description:Applications (+)-Nefopam inhibits the uptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), noradrenaline and dopamine in synaptosomal preparations from rat forebrain, hippocampus and striatum. A cyclized analog of orphenadrine and diphenhydramine; representative of a new class of centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxants, the benzoxazocines.
