Applications Silver cyanate is a chemosterilant in adult houseflies, and is also used as a reagent to synthesize 1-(3-thianyl)uracil and 9-(3-thianyl)adenine derivatives, compounds that have potential anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and antitumour activity.
