Applications Thiophanate-Methyl is a systematic fungicide of the thiophanate class and is commonly used in agriculture to protect against powdery mildew, rot and other fungal (1,2) diseases in fruits, vegetables and other crops (3). May also function as a pesticide with cocarcinogenesis effects on insects observed. Antihelmintic (4). Useful in cannabis testing kits as a component of pesticide mixes (P698240).Drinking water contaminant candidate list 3 (CCL 3) compound as per United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Environmental contaminants; Food contaminants.
