Applications Transplatin is the trans stereoisomer impurity of Cisplatin (C499500), an antineoplastic used in the treatment of sarcomas, some carcinomas, lymphomas, and germ cell tumors. Transplatin binds to DNA but does not exhibit the same useful pharmacological effect as its cis stereoisomer.
