A vancomicina hidroclorídrica é um antibiótico glicopeptídico usado principalmente para tratar infecções bacterianas graves, particularmente aquelas causadas por bactérias Gram-positivas, incluindo Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina (MRSA). É caracterizada por sua estrutura complexa, que inclui uma série de aminoácidos e grupos de açúcar que contribuem para seu mecanismo de ação.
