This compound has been shown to have a stereogenic center and reacts as an ether. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, which is also known as crystal class 2/m. The radical formed from this cation has been shown to be stable at low temperatures and in the presence of perchlorates. N-(4-Methylcyclohexyl)acetamide has been found to react with x-rays, causing a change in its spectrum.<br>It has also been shown to form a perchlorate by reacting with chlorine gas.</p>
