    Ilginatinib is a cell-factor inhibitor that has been identified as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancers. Ilginatinib inhibits Jak2V617F, which is an oncogenic mutation in the Jak2 gene. This mutation leads to uncontrolled growth and survival of hematopoietic cells, which are cells that produce blood cells. Ilginatinib has been shown to inhibit colony-stimulating factor (CSF), which is an inflammatory cytokine that can lead to tumor progression. The molecular modeling study indicated that ilginatinib may bind with hydrogen bonds to the active site of Jak2V617F and thereby inhibit its activity.
