CAS:Sulfolane is a solvent that can be used as a replacement for trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in biological treatment. It has a similar chemical structure to TFA and can be used in the same model systems, such as hydrogen fluoride (HF), water vapor, and hydrochloric acid (HCl). Sulfolane is also an excellent alternative to TFA for sample preparation because it does not react with copper chloride. In addition, sulfolane has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
