:(+/-)-11-NOR-9-CARBOXY-DELTA9-THC-D3
Description:
(+/-)-11-Nor-9-carboxy-delta-9-THC-D3, with CAS number 136844-96-7, is a synthetic derivative of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive component of cannabis. This compound is characterized by its deuterated form, which incorporates deuterium atoms, enhancing its stability and altering its pharmacokinetic properties. It is primarily used in research settings, particularly in studies related to cannabinoid metabolism and pharmacology. The presence of the carboxylic acid group in its structure indicates that it is a metabolite of THC, specifically the 11-nor-9-carboxy-THC, which is often used as a biomarker in drug testing. The compound exhibits affinity for cannabinoid receptors, contributing to its relevance in understanding the effects of cannabinoids on the endocannabinoid system. Its stereochemistry, indicated by the (+/-) designation, suggests that it exists as a racemic mixture of enantiomers, which may exhibit different biological activities. Overall, this compound serves as a valuable tool in both clinical and preclinical research involving cannabinoids.

CAS:Controlled ProductThe gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) method described in this article is a sensitive and selective analytical technique for measuring Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in urine. A programmed GC-MS instrument was used to perform the analysis. The use of an ionization source other than electron impact (EI) ionization, such as chemical ionization (CI), can increase the sensitivity of detection by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio. Matrix effects were minimized by using a dry extract prepared from plant material that had been extracted with n-hexane, which also eliminates interferences caused by chlorinated compounds. Validation experiments demonstrated that the GC-MS/MS method is able to measure THC reliably and accurately. The GC-MS/MS method described in this article has been successfully applied to analyze urine samples obtained from heroin users and cannabis users.Formula:C21H25D3O4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Clear LiquidMolecular weight:347.46 g/mol
