(R)-(+)-XylBINAP is an asymmetric hydrogenation catalyst that is a diphosphine ligand. It has been used in the kinetic resolution of β-unsaturated aldehydes, where it selectively reduces one enantiomer to give the corresponding alcohols. In addition, (R)-(+)-XylBINAP has been used in the synthesis of imines and primary amines by reacting with amines or ammonia, respectively.
