FlAsH-EDT2
CAS:Controlled Product
Applications The Fluorescein Arsenical Hairpin Binder (FlAsH) method is presented for fluorescence labeling of proteins in living cells. Labeling proteins with the membrane-permeant fluorogenic biarsenical dye fluorescein arsenical hairpin binder-ethanedithiol (FlAsH-EDT2). The membrane-permeant fluorogenic biarsenicals FlAsH-EDT2 and ReAsH-EDT2 can be prepared in good yields by a straightforward two-step procedure from the inexpensive precursor dyes fluorescein and resorufin.
Not a dangerous good if item is equal to or less than 1g/ml and there is less than 100g/ml in the package
References Gaietta, G., et al.: Science, 296, 503 (2002), Hoffmann, C., et al.: Nature Methods, 2, 171 (2005), Dyachok, O., et al.: Nature, 439, 349 (2006), Gautier, A., et al.: Chem. CAS:
FlAsH-EDT2 is a red fluorescent dye that binds to calcium ions. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of wild-type herpes simplex virus, while not affecting the growth of recombinant viruses with mutated sequences. FlAsH-EDT2 binds to the kinase domain of soluble guanylate cyclase and inhibits its activity, thereby inhibiting cellular proliferation in response to extracellular growth factors. This inhibition can be reversed by removing excess calcium ions from the system. The binding of FlAsH-EDT2 to calcium ions also results in changes in electrophysiological properties.
Formula:C24H18As2O5S4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:664.5 g/molFlAsH-EDT2
