H-Phe-Gly-Gly-OH is a phosphatase enzyme inhibitor that acts as a competitive inhibitor of serine/threonine phosphatases. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of protein data, which are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of phosphate groups from proteins. This inhibition of protein data leads to an increase in the levels of protein kinase A (PKA) and cyclic AMP (cAMP) in human serum.
