:Amikacin
Description:
Amikacin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is primarily used to treat serious infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria, particularly in cases where other antibiotics are ineffective. It is derived from kanamycin and exhibits a broad spectrum of activity against various pathogens, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and certain strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
