CAS:1,1,1,2,3-Pentafluoropropane (HFC-245fa) is a chemical compound that is used as a refrigerant and as a fire suppression agent. It is also used as a stabilizer in hydrogen fluoride (HF) and in the reduction of metal salts. The high activity and yield of this compound are due to its low energy activation energy. 1,1,1,2,3-Pentafluoropropane is stable at room temperature but reacts with ethane to produce ethyl fluoride and hydrogen. This reaction occurs because the fluorine atoms in 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane are more reactive than those in propene or ethylene. 1,1,1,2,3-Pentafluoropropane has been found to be less effective than other fluorocarbons at suppressing fires.Formula:C3H3F5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:134.05 g/mol
