This compound may be useful for cancer therapy as it targets the immune system, rather than directly killing tumor cells. 1-(Pyridin-4-yl)-3-(quinolin-2-yl)prop-2-en-1-one has also been shown to inhibit aneurysm formation and to have antiangiogenic properties in mouse models of pancreatic cancer.
