:Carbenicillin disodium
Description:
Carbenicillin disodium is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic that is primarily used to treat infections caused by certain Gram-negative bacteria. It is characterized by its ability to inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is a crucial mechanism for its antibacterial activity. The disodium salt form enhances its solubility in water, making it suitable for intravenous administration.
