:Armepavine
Description:
Armepavine is an alkaloid compound primarily derived from the plant species of the Papaveraceae family, particularly from the opium poppy. It is characterized by its complex structure, which includes a tetracyclic framework typical of many opiate alkaloids. Armepavine exhibits a range of biological activities, including potential analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, although its pharmacological profile is less well-studied compared to more prominent opiates. The compound is known to interact with opioid receptors, which are critical in pain modulation. In terms of physical properties, armepavine is typically a crystalline solid, and its solubility can vary depending on the solvent used. Its chemical formula reflects a specific arrangement of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms, contributing to its unique properties. As with many alkaloids, armepavine may also exhibit toxicity at certain doses, necessitating careful handling and further research to fully understand its therapeutic potential and safety profile.

CAS:
Armepavine is a bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid found in the root of Armelia patens. It has been shown to have anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. Armepavine has also been shown to have synergistic effects with sodium citrate when combined with collagen for the treatment of cervical cancer. The matrix effect of armepavine on cervical cancer cells was investigated using a solid phase microextraction technique which showed that armepavine inhibits the proliferation of cervical cancer cells by inducing apoptosis. This may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that inhibits nerve transmission.
Formula:C19H23NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:313.39 g/molArmepavine
