This compound is also used as an additive in pluronic p123 polymers to enhance their stability and reduce their flammability. The structure of tetrabutyl orthotitanate was determined using X-ray crystallography and electron diffraction, revealing that the molecule consists of tetrahedrally coordinated titanium atoms with oxygen atoms located at each corner of the tetrahedron.
