    <p>Maytansinol is a molecule that has potent antitumor activity. It has been shown to be effective against leukemia cells, and inhibits the growth of cells in culture by binding to the lymphatic vessels. Maytansinol is also able to bind to metal ions and forms a chelate complex with them. The effective dose of maytansinol is 3-5mg/kg body weight, which can be administered orally or intravenously.
