    IMiprothrin is a potent inhibitor of the mitochondrial cytochrome P450 system that is used as a topical insecticide. It has been shown to have carcinogenic potential in vivo and in vitro, and has been found to be toxic to mammalian cells. IMiprothrin is not absorbed through the skin, but can be absorbed through the lungs or gastrointestinal tract.
