2-Fluoro-6-chlorobenzamide is a synthetic compound that induces apoptosis in cells. It acts by binding to the receptor for death, which triggers downstream signaling pathways that lead to the activation of caspases. 2-Fluoro-6-chlorobenzamide binds to two different sites on the death receptor and causes cell death through necroptosis. 2-Fluoro-6-chlorobenzamide has been shown to induce morphological changes in cells and can be used as an indicator for necroptosis.

Halopemide is a potent inhibitor of PLD (IC50 = 220 and 310 nM for human PLD1 and PLD2).

N-[2-[4-(5-Chloro-2,3-dihydro-2-oxo-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)piperidino]ethyl]-4-fluorobenzamide (NFA) is a novel benzodiazepine receptor inverse agonist that has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of fatty acid synthase in vitro and in vivo. NFA has been shown to inhibit the production of gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) with an IC50 value of 0.8 nM. This drug binds to the GABA receptor with high affinity and inhibits the binding of GABA, which is responsible for its anti-anxiety effects. NFA also blocks the binding of dopamine and other drugs to their receptors, which may contribute to its antidepressant properties.
