Cyclosporin G is an immunosuppressant drug that is used to prevent the rejection of organ transplants. Cyclosporin G binds to the cyclophilin receptor and blocks its activity, which prevents the activation of other immune cells. It has been shown to be effective in preventing transplant rejection in animal models. Cyclosporin G also inhibits the release of serum prolactin levels and suppresses immune-mediated diseases such as autoimmune diseases. Cyclosporin G has been shown to have a low toxicity profile when given at therapeutic doses, but may cause drug interactions with other drugs.
