Description:Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor drug that is used to manage hyperglycaemia in patients with type 2 diabetes. This drug works by inhibiting the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and allows for the breakdown of GLP-1 and glucose dependent insulinotropic polypeptide.
