Product Information

Name:
GB1107
Description:

GB1107 is a small molecule that inhibits hepatic lipase, an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides in the liver. Inhibition of this enzyme leads to decreased lipolysis and reduced hepatic triglyceride content. GB1107 has been shown to reduce blood glucose levels in diabetic mice. This effect was due to inhibition of hepatic lipase, which resulted in reduced levels of free fatty acids. GB1107 also showed antitumor response by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in tumor cells. GB1107 was shown to have a logarithmic growth phase and induced epidermal growth factor (EGF) production in human liver cells. It also inhibited EGF-induced proliferation of human lung cancer cells, suggesting that it may be a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
