7-Oxozeaenol is a bioactive compound that has been shown to have tissue culture, biological properties, and anti-inflammatory effects. 7-Oxozeaenol also exhibits biological activity against human macrophages and ischemia reperfusion injury in mice. It has been shown to activate toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and TLR2, which are important for the inflammatory response. 7-Oxozeaenol has also been shown to inhibit epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and mda-mb-231 breast cancer cells.
