Product Information

Name:
LY2562175
Controlled Product
Description:

LY2562175 is a small molecule that inhibits diacylglycerol (DAG) production. It binds to the enzyme DAG kinase, which is responsible for catalyzing the phosphorylation of DAG to form phosphatidic acid. LY2562175 has been shown to reduce lipid levels in humans and improve dyslipidemia. LY2562175 also has inhibitory activity against primary sclerosing cholangitis, a chronic inflammatory condition of the bile ducts in the liver. The mechanism of action for this drug is not fully understood but it may be due to its ability to inhibit cell proliferation and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines by immune cells. LY2562175 has undergone clinical trials as a diagnostic tool for primary sclerosing cholangitis and safety profiles have been evaluated in pharmacokinetic studies.
