Description:
Sabutoclax is a small molecule drug that induces apoptosis in cancer cells. It has been shown to have a variety of effects on tumour cells, including cytosolic Ca2+ influx, mitochondrial membrane potential collapse, and activation of caspases. Sabutoclax also has an effect on the mitochondria of healthy cells and can be used to treat autoimmune diseases. The mechanism of action for this drug is not well understood but it may be due to its ability to inhibit the mcl-1 protein.
