Description:1-Naphthyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-b-D-glucopyranoside is a chromogenic substrate commonly used to assay the activity of enzymes that cleave N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminide, such as beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase. Upon cleavage by the enzyme of interest, the substrate releases a yellow-colored 1-naphthylamine, which can be measured spectrophotometrically.
