Description:Alogliptin is a drug that belongs to the class of glp-1 receptor agonists. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and can be prescribed alone or in combination with other drugs. Alogliptin has been shown to stimulate the production and release of peptide hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), which are important for the regulation of blood sugar levels.
