Product Information
Name:Calcium chloride anhydrous - USP
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Calcium chloride anhydrous is a salt that is used as a source of calcium ions in biochemistry. It has been shown to stimulate the contraction of the papillary muscle, which may be due to its ability to increase intracellular calcium levels. Calcium chloride anhydrous has also been shown to inhibit the production of p-nitrophenyl phosphate in a dose-dependent manner and can be used as an antidote for acute poisoning caused by this agent. The toxicity of calcium chloride anhydrous has been studied in rats, mice, and rabbits. The LD50 values for these animals are greater than 2 g/kg (rats), greater than 5 g/kg (mice), and greater than 5 g/kg (rabbits). This drug also inhibits the activity of phospholipases A2 and C, which are involved in inflammation responses. It has been found that calcium chloride anhydrous does not have any effect on pluripotent cells or copper chloride, but
