Product Information
Dihydroguaiaretic acid (DHAA) is a natural compound that is found in plants, such as the leaves of the Eucalyptus tree. It acts as an antimicrobial agent and has been shown to inhibit the growth of lipopolysaccharide-induced liver fibrosis. DHAA also inhibits epidermal growth factor, which is involved in cell proliferation and tissue remodeling. Dihydroguaiaretic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. DHAA has not been well studied for its anti-cancer effects, but it has been shown to have some inhibitory properties against cancer cells in vitro.
