Description:
Fraxetin is a bioactive compound found in the meoh extract of the bark of the fraxinus excelsior tree. Fraxetin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity and to inhibit tissue factor. Fraxetin also has been shown to inhibit electron transfer, which may be due to its ability to react with biological macromolecules such as DNA and proteins. This inhibition leads to a decrease in dna damage and an increase in cell survival.
