Dehydrocorydaline is an alkaloid that has been isolated from the Chinese herb Corydalis. It has been shown to have anticancer, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Dehydrocorydaline is a natural compound that can be obtained through extraction of the plant Corydalis cava. It has been shown to have antioxidant effects, as well as to inhibit bone cancer in mice by reducing the production of prostaglandin E2. Dehydrocorydaline also acts to increase locomotor activity and reduce pain perception in animal models. This compound may act through the M2 phenotype and mitochondrial membrane potential, which are both linked with inflammation and cancer prevention.
